天道酬勤 厚积薄发 ――劳力行教授来我校讲座 2012年6月26日上午，由针推学院主办的劳力行教授面向全校开展了讲座。讲座吸引了来自针推、康复、基础医学院等各个专业的本科生、研究生以及中青年教师近百人。劳教授于1983年毕业于上海中医学院，1986年底远赴美国，1992年6月取得马里兰大学生理学博士学位。目前是全美国大学医学院中为数不多的专职从事中医针灸学临床和基础研究的正教授，以他为主开发了一系列有效的临床及实验室研究方案，他的研究特别集中在中医/针灸的安全性、有效性以及作用机理方面，对中医针灸在美国的发展做出了重大贡献。 作为唯一一位曾担任美国针灸研究学会共同主席的美籍华人，劳力行教授对中医药事业的发展怀有极大热忱。劳教授在推动中医针灸为主流医学认可的同时，没有忘记常回母校，回馈母校，指导本校访问学者，已为母校培养了多名人才。我校沈雪勇教授课题组自2002年以来即与劳教授开展合作，已与本校合作发表SCI论文12篇。 本次讲座由针推学院梁尚华书记主持。讲座主要分三个部分，首先劳教授介绍了马里兰大学医学院结合医学中心在中医针灸方面的研究工作，接着回顾了他本人推动和亲历的中医针灸在美国发展的几个重要的事件，包括针灸成为医疗器械，NIH听证会对针刺疗效的肯定等，然后简单介绍个人的成长历程，最后同学们提出了不少问题，劳教授一一进行了耐心解答。会上气氛轻松活跃，会心的笑声不时出现，大家为劳教授取得的突出成绩感到非常钦佩和感动，学生还为他赠送了鲜花。梁书记最后总结说，劳教授的个人成长与他本人勤奋是分不开的，“机遇只垂青有准备的头脑”，尽管劳教授中学时遭遇到文革时期的“停课闹革命”，做过七年工人，但闲暇时他也不断学习，在恢复高考之后，考上大学。在大学期间，他非常珍惜学习机会，如饥似渴地吸收各种知识，很重要的是他始终保持对学习的兴趣，而且养成了终生学习的习惯，今天才有如此傲人的成绩。这次讲座不仅是一次科研讲座，更是一次励志教育，劳教授作为同学们的学长、校友，为大家树立了一个学习的榜样。 近年来，中医针灸的独特疗效正为全世界所关注，但目前中医针灸领域的临床研究在国外SCI源期刊发表论文较少，这一定程度上限制了中医的发展。中医针灸要走向世界，就应以更加开放的姿态，吸取西方先进经验，加强国际交流与合作，注重成果表达，以提升中医针灸的国际影响力。可以预期，双方将取得更加富有成效的合作成果。（赵玲）
God Helps Those Who Help Themselves Accumulate Steadily ―The Lecture of Professor Lao Lixing The Lecture of Professor Lao Lixing, was held by the School of Acupuncture and Tuina on the morning of June 26th, 2012. The lecture attracted nearly 100 undergraduates and graduates as well as young and middle-aged teachers from the School of Acupuncture and Tuina, Rehabilitation School and Preclinical Medicine School. Professor Lao graduated from Shanghai School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1983, went to the United States by the end of 1986, and got Science doctor's degree in the Maryland University in June 1992. Now Professor Lao is one of the full-time professors of clinical and basic research of Chinese medicine acupuncture in Universities of Medicine in the United States. Revolving around him, he developed a series of clinical and laboratory research programs. His research was particularly focused on the TCM / the safety, efficacy, and mechanism of action of acupuncture and had made a significant contribution to the development of Chinese medicine and acupuncture in the United States. As the only Chinese-American who served as co-chair of the American Society for Acupuncture Research, Professor Lao boasts great enthusiasm for the development of the pharmaceutical industry. At the time, Professor Lao is promoting TCM acupuncture as mainstream medicine, he has not forgotten and often redounds on his Alma Mater to guide the visiting scholars of our university and has trained a lot of famous talented people for the alma mater. Professor Shen Xueyong’s research group has been cooperated with Professor Lao since 2002 and Professor Lao has published 12 SCI papers in cooperation with our university. In view of the solid foundation of pre-collaborative research, Professor Lao has been hired as the first Shanghai Education Commission of our university. The lecture was presided over the secretary of the School of Acupuncture and Tuina, Liang Shanghua. The lecture was divided into three parts. In the first part, Professor Lao introduced the research work of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture in Medicine School and Medical centre in the University of Maryland and then reviewed several important events he promoted and experienced the development of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture in the United States, including the acupuncture being medical devices, NIH hearing curtained the effect of acupuncture and so on. In the second part, he gave a brief introduction for his personal growth. In the last part, students raised ??a lot of questions, Professor Lao patiently answered one by one. The atmosphere of the lecture was relax and active and there was hearty chuckles time to time. We felt great admiration for the remarkable achievements of Professor Lao and touched a lot. The students also presented him with flowers. The Secretary Mr. Liang concluded that Professor Lao’s personal growth could not be separated by his diligence. "Opportunity only favors the prepared mind." Although Professor Lao suffered “suspend the class and go revolution” during the Cultural Revolution, and he had been workers for seven years, he still studying constantly in his spare time. And after resuming university entrance examinations, he went to the university. During his university period, he cherished the opportunity to study very much, eagerly absorbed all kinds of knowledge. It is very important that he always maintains his interest in learning, and developed the habit of lifelong learning, so he can get such an impressive achievement today. This lecture is not only a research lectures, but also an inspirational education. Professor Lao as a senior, an alumni set a role model for everyone. In recent years, the unique effect of the traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture is concerned by the world. But there is a little paper about the research of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture can be published on SCI abroad, which limits the development of Chinese medicine to some extent. If traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture becomes global, it must have more open attitude, learn from the advanced experience of the Western, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation and pay attention to results expression in order to enhance the international influence of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture.
